Professional Irrigation System Installation
Design is the cornerstone of a well operating irrigation system. Without proper design, even the most well installed system will perform poorly. A good design will have sprinklers spaced for head to head coverage. Once the correct nozzles are selected a matched precipitation is achieved. This means that all parts of a zone get the same amount of water over the same time.
We use Hunter and Rainbird parts on our systems. The systems utilize manifolded valves in boxes for ease of valve location and maintenance. The boxes are wrapped in landscape fabric to keep out dirt and debris that would get into the piping if the valves were replaced in the soil.
The piping is installed with an LM-42 Trencher. This allows us to use a vibratory plow for trenchless installations. We have a trencher for the times that a plow will not get the job done. A vibratory plow places the pipe 8” – 12” deep without trenching and minimal disturbance to the existing grass and soil. We also use a sod cutter to remove the grass in easy to replace sections. These two pieces of machinery allow us to put the grass and lawn back to its original condition.
All systems are equipped with rain sensors and can be upgraded to use the latest in “smart watering”; The Hunter Solar Sync. This unit uses solar and temperature information to automatically adjust the run times on Hunter controllers. This saves on water bills by only watering extra on hot, dry days and running normal times on cooler, cloudy days. This really adds up over an entire growing season.
Wells are available for irrigation systems and if your area allows “agricultural” wells, we will be happy to install one for you. You can recognize an immediate savings in your water bill.
All of this means very efficient irrigation systems that get the job done while conserving water, a precious resource, and saving your time and money in maintaining a beautiful green lawn. |
